Ring Size Guide
A well-fitted ring is a piece you forget you are wearing until you look down. Below are a few simple ways to find your size, and a printable sizer you can use at home. If you would rather talk it through, we are happy to.
Before you measure
Three small things worth knowing first.
- Your finger size changes through the day. Measure in the afternoon, when your hands are warm.
- Different fingers are different sizes, even on the same hand. Measure the exact finger the ring will be worn on.
- If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one. A ring should slip on and settle in place, not squeeze.
Method one.
Measure a ring you already wear.
If you have a ring that fits well on the finger you plan to wear the new piece on, you already have your answer. Place it on top of a millimetre ruler, measure the inside of the circle across its widest point, and use that measurement to find your size on the chart below.
Method two.
Measure your finger.
If you do not have a ring to compare, use a small piece of string or a strip of paper.
Cut a length of around ten centimetres. Wrap it comfortably around your finger where the ring will sit, snug but not tight. Mark the spot where the ends meet. Lay it flat against a millimetre ruler, and use that measurement to find your size on the chart below.

If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger one. Half sizes are available for most rings. Available sizes are listed on each product page.

A note on solid gold, and on made-to-order rings
Because every piece in The Passage Collection is made to order in solid gold, sizing matters a little more here than it might elsewhere. If you are uncertain, we would rather help you get it right the first time than resize afterwards.
For Everyday Collection pieces, which are made in solid gold and kept in stock, small resizes are possible after purchase for a fee. Engraved pieces cannot be resized once engraved.

Common questions
What if I fall between two sizes?
Choose the larger of the two. A ring should slip on comfortably and settle in place. If it is snug going on but you can slide it off easily, that is the right fit.
Can my ring be resized after I buy it?
Most Everyday Collection pieces can be resized once, within a small range, for a fee. Passage Collection pieces are made to order to your size, so they arrive fitted. Engraved rings and rings set with stones the whole way around the band cannot be resized. Please choose carefully.
What if I am shopping for someone else?
The kindest way to find someone's ring size without asking is to borrow a ring they wear regularly on the finger you have in mind. Compare it against the printable sizer above, or send us the measurement and we will help you convert it.
Will my ring size change over time?
A little, yes. Fingers change with heat, cold, salt, exercise, pregnancy, and years of ordinary life. This is one reason we design Everyday pieces to allow a small resize down the line.
